How to do a reading?

First of all, there is no wrong way to do a Tarot reading. As long as your intent is pure, it does not matter how you spread the cards, or how complicated your set-up is. You will get the answers from the cards. Our suggestions here are only a guide for you in the beginning. You will develop....
 your own way that makes you most comfortable. It is your reading.

Most Tarot readers use a cloth over the table or surface they do the reading on. This has a purpose - the color you choose often helps with the vibration of the card. Some people prefer black as it is least likely to interfere with energies. Some people prefer blue, yellow, or purple - these colors are said to have the capability of divinition and psychic ability. What ever color you choose, it is the right one for you. Follow your instinct. The color you like is the one most likely to bring the right vibrations to your reading.

Some  Tarot readers prefer to burn incense and/or candles. Some prefer soft music during the reading. Some like to meditate prior to starting a reading. Others do nothing but pull out the cards and start the reading. Again, you do what feels right to you. I normally, at least take a few deep breaths before a reading. Often I meditate prior to a reading. At times, I burn incenses - I love the smell, and it somehow helps me to calm down and focus. The main point is that there is no wrong way. What ever works for you and helps you focus is the right thing for you to do before your reading.

You do not want to be interrupted during your reading. Turn off the TV and your cellular phone. Make sure the room is comfortable - not too hot, not too warm. Wear comfortable clothes. You need to be able to breath freely. You need to be comfortable and at ease.
